Dufftown Special - Whisky Sour with a historical modern touch.

The Dufftown Special was originally created for a bottled cocktail workshop together with Glenfiddich, where it quickly became a crowd favorite. Inspired by the nearly forgotten 1920s cocktail Artist’s Special, this drink combines classic whisky flavors with modern fruitiness. 
It is based on Glenfiddich 12 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, complemented by Oloroso sherry, tart plum juice, and a hint of peach bitters.

The result: a whisky sour that is smooth, complex, and incredibly approachable all at once.

What makes this cocktail so special?

Glenfiddich 12 brings soft single malt aromas, while Oloroso sherry lends the drink a nutty, oxidative complexity. Sour plum juice adds fresh fruitiness and lively acidity, while peach bitters give the cocktail a subtle aromatic edge.

The result is a whisky sour that feels nostalgic yet tastes modern.
